February Updates
Our rehearsal next week will be held at Polson School instead of DHHS. The high school has a Band Concert, so we will not be able to use the orchestra room. We will meet at our regular times at Polson Middle School, 302 Greenhill Rd., right next door to the High School.
We will meet in the Polson Band Room, which is at the front of the school. We will have the band room door open unless the weather is too cold, and you will have to use the front door.
The following Wednesday is a school vacation for Madison Schools. We will not be rehearsing on that day, February 17. Our next rehearsal will be February 24, at DHHS.

All SYSO members should always email me if they will miss a rehearsal. Many of you are really diligent about this, but some routinely forget this important responsibility. I take attendance every week, and students who email usually are “excused absent” and others are marked “absent”, so please remember. DHHS band members do not have to email me about missing this rehearsal. I know who you are!

Concert Dress
Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra students will have a uniform dress
for concerts. The girls wear an outfit purchased at
www.concertdress.com. Their information is:

The owner knows which outfit the Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra
requires. There are also some outfits used one or two years by graduated
girls of the orchestra. I will send you a list if you are interested in
purchasing a "pre-owned" dress. You will probably have to hem the skirt,
but the sizes are mostly standard. Please email me if you are interested
in one of these outfits.
The boys in the Youth Symphony will wear a Tuxedo or quality black suit,
dress white shirt, and black bow tie, and black shoes and socks.
